A doola Alternative for Your Wyoming LLC

doola is one of the biggest names for founders outside the US who want an American company. If you're choosing between doola and our Non-US Founder Package for a Wyoming LLC, this is how the two compare on price, inclusions, and what keeps billing after the first year. We sell a competing package, so weigh our view with that in mind.

What doola does well

  • Scale. doola says it has helped form more than 22,000 businesses for founders in over 175 countries.
  • Formation and tax under one roof. Its higher plans add federal and state tax filing, and its Pulse bookkeeping product costs $300 a year. If you want a single provider for your company, your books, and your returns, doola is built for that.
  • Corporations too. Besides LLCs, doola forms C-corps.
  • A refund guarantee on formation, advertised on its site.

Where we differ

You know the second-year bill today. Our package is paid once. The only thing that renews is registered agent service at $99 a year, cancellable any time in your dashboard. doola bills its plans annually and doesn't publish what Starter costs after the first year.

We fill in the paperwork. You complete one order form. From it we prepare your Wyoming Articles of Organization, file them, and fill in your EIN application. Your part is to sign it and approve the bank application.

Your bank application doesn't sit in a queue behind the IRS. As soon as you sign, it's ready: built from your order details, with your filed Articles attached. You approve what gets shared, we send it, and the EIN arrives later in the background. Our partners decide on every account, so we can't promise approval.

What we don't do

We don't file the Wyoming annual report, and we don't prepare US tax returns. Foreign-owned LLCs often owe the IRS a Form 5472 each year, so plan on a tax professional who works with non-resident owners.

Who should choose doola instead

  • You want your tax returns handled by the same company. doola's Tax and Compliance plan covers federal and state filing, which we don't offer at any price.
  • You want ongoing bookkeeping. Pulse or Business-in-a-Box gives you that; we don't do books.
  • You're forming a C-corp, or a state other than Wyoming.
  • The lowest first-year price is what matters most, and you're comfortable with an annual subscription.

Wyoming in brief

Wyoming charges $100 to file Articles of Organization and doesn't require LLC owners to live in the US. Each year there's an annual report with a license tax of at least $60, due on the first day of your formation anniversary month. Members aren't listed on that report, though the IRS and account providers still know who owns the company.

FAQ

Is doola cheaper than your package in the first year?

Often, yes. doola lists its Starter plan at $297, and a $237 promotional price was showing when we checked, plus state fees. Ours is $399 plus Wyoming's $100 filing fee. What happens in year two depends on Starter's renewal price, which doola doesn't publish.

What does doola's Starter plan renew at?

doola's pricing page says all plans are billed annually, but it doesn't list a separate renewal figure for Starter. If the second-year cost matters to you, ask doola before you buy.

Will either of you file Form 5472 for me?

We won't. We don't prepare tax returns of any kind. doola's Tax and Compliance plan ($1,599 promotional, $1,999 list, per year) includes federal and state tax filing. Its pricing page doesn't name Form 5472, so confirm with doola that it's covered for your LLC.

Can I get an EIN without an SSN from either company?

Yes. doola offers EINs for owners with no SSN. With us, we complete Form SS-4 for you, you e-sign, and it's faxed to the IRS; the number normally comes within 2 to 8 weeks.

Is the Wyoming annual report part of either package?

Not ours, and not doola's Starter plan. doola adds annual report filing from Tax and Compliance upward. Wyoming's report and license tax (minimum $60) is due each year in your LLC's anniversary month.
