ZenBusiness Renews at $199. Wyoming Still Changes Agents by Mail.
Start with the conflict of interest. WY Reg Agent.com wrote this page. We are a Wyoming registered agent, our price is $99 a year, and we would like the seat ZenBusiness is currently occupying on your filing. The ZenBusiness figures below are ZenBusiness's own, read off their public pricing during a July 2026 review and left alone.
The Software Deserves Its Reputation
ZenBusiness has built the most polished compliance product in this category and it would be silly to pretend otherwise. One login, a tidy dashboard, filing status where you can see it, onboarding written for somebody who has never sent anything to a state agency before. If what you wanted was a place to manage a company from, they are a reasonable answer.
We do not sell software. We sell an address in Wyoming, a person behind it, and the discipline to open what arrives on the day it arrives. Those are different purchases that happen to occupy the same line on a state record.
$99 Is the Introduction. $199 Is the Subscription.
Purchased alone, without a formation package wrapped around it, ZenBusiness agent service costs $99 for the first twelve months, with the state's own fees added beside it. Year two is $199, and so is every year after.
Neither number is concealed. Both are published, and publishing both is to their credit. The only question is which one you should be multiplying, and the answer is the second, because Wyoming expects somebody holding the appointment on every day your company is on file. The requirement never pauses for a year.
The gap between their standing price and ours is $100 every twelve months. Wyoming charges five dollars to record a change of registered agent. So the yearly difference between the two subscriptions is, in the state's own currency, twenty agent changes.
The State Everyone Files In Still Wants an Envelope
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order HereHere is the part that surprises people who have only met Wyoming through a formation website.
Wyoming built its reputation on being easy to organize in from a distance. Its formation fee is a flat $100, the articles can be filed on a screen, and an enormous share of its companies belong to people who have never driven through the state. So you would reasonably expect an agent change to be a two-minute form in the state's online system.
It is not. The change of registered agent is paper. The instruction printed on the form is blunt about it: it cannot be accepted via email. It travels by post, with a check, and processing runs up to fifteen business days. Wyoming statutes make no provision for expedited handling of these filings, so there is no counter to pay extra at and no priority option to buy. Every filer, from a single-member LLC to a firm holding a thousand appointments, waits the same three working weeks.
Whatever your agent charges, they cannot compress that. Speed is not what you are buying in Wyoming. Attention is.
What Ninety-Nine Dollars Actually Covers
- A Wyoming street address on your Secretary of State record instead of your own
- Anything served on your company reaches our desk and leaves it as a scan the same working day, with an email saying so
- Reminders before the annual report, which Wyoming times to the opening day of your anniversary month rather than its close
- Every document we have ever received on your behalf, stored and downloadable
- Everyday post, as opposed to legal process, imaged at $15 a piece. That charge appears on this page instead of on a statement next spring
- $99 at signup, $99 at renewal, with no second-year figure waiting behind the first
We will not call ourselves the cheapest. BetterLegal's published rate is $90, so ours belongs among the lowest flat annual prices in Wyoming rather than at the very bottom of them.
Moving the Appointment Off ZenBusiness in Wyoming
The document is titled Appointment of New Registered Agent and Office. Wyoming does not assign numbers to its business forms, so the title is the whole identifier, and any guide that hands you a form code invented it.
Four steps, in this order.
- Enroll here. Filling in the form requires our Wyoming registered office address and agent details, and we supply both at signup.
- Complete it, sign it, and send it, with a $5 check, to the Business Division at Wyoming's Secretary of State in Cheyenne. Not by email. The form itself rules that out.
- Wait. Up to fifteen business days, with no way to buy your way forward.
- Search your entity in the state's public records. When our name shows on the agent line, and only then, cancel ZenBusiness.
That last instruction is the entire point of the ordering. Fifteen business days is three calendar weeks once the weekends are counted, and for every one of those days ZenBusiness is still the agent of record on your file. Cancel them the morning you post the envelope and you have manufactured a stretch of time in which the state, a process server and a court all believe your company can be reached through a service that is no longer being paid to look. The overlap costs a few weeks of a subscription you were leaving anyway. The alternative costs whatever was inside the envelope nobody opened. Our change of agent page walks the same sequence in more detail.
Five dollars and a stamp, and the $199 renewal stops being a date in your calendar.
